The hotel's location, just 2.5 km from central Chartres and Chartres Cathedral, made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city's historic sites.

Rooms were clean, comfortable, and large enough for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was decent. One of the best aspects was the affordable price of the hotel, offering good value for money.

The lack of an elevator, which made it difficult to carry luggage up the narrow, spiral stairs. the hotel is located quite far from the center of Chartres, making it inconvenient for those who prefer to walk.

Initial room had plumbing issues and was not clean. Overlooked a noisy bakery.

We found the hotel easily and picking the key up from the bar/tabac was not a problem, even with limited French. The room was very clean with crisp cotton sheets on the bed, and a compact en-suite. Breakfast in the bar/tabac comprised juice, croissant, bread, jams and coffee, but it's next door to a patisserie so you could purchase something from there if you preferred not to pay the €5 charge. Staff suggested a restaurant, L'Amuse Bouche, rt. out of hotel, it's on the left-hand side about 250 yds, just beyond Dio Parking, where we had a wonderful meal. Du Centre Luce Chartres is the perfect location for a one-night stopover on our way. It is also conveniently located for visiting the city of Chartres and its cathedral, either by walking or taking the bus. The staff was very kind and helpful, allowing us to store our belongings in the garage overnight. The rooms, though small, are clean and well-equipped with linen and towels provided. The hotel is also dog-friendly, with no extra charge for pets.

As a mid-journey stopover, Hotel Du Centre Luce Chartres was absolutely perfect. The bed was firm and extremely comfy, ensuring a great night's sleep. The room was spacious and quiet, allowing us to spread out and move around easily. We also enjoyed the good shower in the decent sized bathroom. The view out of the back of the hotel was pleasant, and parking was conveniently available opposite. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, even providing a place for my bike. Additionally, the location was ideal, with a grocery store across the street, an ATM next to the hotel, and various attractions like the city center and swimming pool just a short bike ride away. a fantastic experience.
